Soooo, here it is, the insides of the Garmin Forerunner 110:
It wasn't hard to get the piece apart but it was quite tricky to get it together though, the buttons hooked on to the edges. But I got it after some fiddling.
I was mainly interested in the battery and if it was replaceable. I would say it's possible to replace the battery, but it's not optimal in any way. There shouldn't be a problem to get a replacement battery and the electrodes are just taped to each side, which means it's easy to change but also easy to break. I would say you need to be extremely cautious concerning cleanliness so no dirt gets between the tape and the battery (a fingerprint in the wrong place would really mess things up).
I didn't check the circuits and chips that much but according to the boot-up screen it's a "SiRF Instant FixII (c) 2008-2010 SiRF Technology, Inc."
